Important Usage Instruction
- Long-Term IS Written Agreement: Use when students participate in Independent Study for 16 or more cumulative instructional days in a school year. The agreement must be signed and approved before the start date of IS.
- Stockton High School Version: This form is only for Stockton High School students.
- Other High/Specialty Schools: Use the general Long-Term IS Agreement form, not the Stockton High version.
- Elementary Schools: Long-term IS is generally not allowed due to resource constraints. Exceptional cases require admin consultation with Educational Services Directors.
- Short-Term IS Written Agreement: Use for students on IS for fewer than 16 cumulative instructional days. This can be signed anytime during the school year, and IS can start even for just one day.
